Septic Numbers answers one question for homeowners with a septic system: what will this cost, and what size do I need? Most septic cost pages give one national number with no source. We give a range, show how it is built, and list where every figure comes from.
What we do
- Free calculators for tank size, drain field size, pumping schedule and installation cost
- Cost guides for installation, pumping, inspection, repair and the parts that fail
- A sources list and an update date on every page
What we are not
We are an independent site. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with the EPA or any state or county health department. We don't install or service septic systems. Our numbers are planning estimates, not quotes. See the disclaimer and our methodology.
Found a wrong number?
Prices change and local rules differ. If you have a recent quote or invoice that doesn't match our ranges, please tell us. We review every report.
